Setting Up Sparks (Automated Messages) in Reorbit

Sparks are automated messages that reach your customers at the right moment — asking for reviews, reminding them about pending feedback, and (soon) nudging them about loyalty points.

What are Sparks?

A Spark is an automated, event-triggered message. Instead of manually emailing customers, you configure a Spark once and Reorbit sends it whenever a customer reaches the right moment — for example, shortly after their order is delivered.

All Sparks share a global delivery limit so customers are never over-messaged, and a priority order that decides which message wins when a customer qualifies for several at once.

Before you start

  • Make sure your Company Info is set up (name, email, logo) — Sparks use it in the message layout. See Company Info & Branding.
  • Decide how many messages a customer should receive per week across all Sparks.

Step-by-step: configure your Sparks

1. Open the Sparks page

From the app, go to Configure → Sparks. You’ll land on the Configure Sparks page.

2. Set your delivery limit

In the Delivery Settings section, set Max touchpoints per week — the maximum number of Spark messages any single customer can receive in a rolling 7-day period. This limit applies across all active Sparks, so you never overwhelm a customer.

3. Set Spark priority

In the Spark Priority section, use the up/down arrows to order your Sparks. When a customer qualifies for more than one Spark at the same time, the one nearest the top is sent first. Higher position = higher priority.

4. Configure an individual Spark

Under Reviews Sparks, click Review Request or Review Reminder to open its configuration page (e.g. Review Request Spark). Adjust the message settings, then save using the save bar. To remove a configured message, use Delete.

ℹ️ Loyalty Sparks (Welcome, Points Reminder, Points Expiry) are marked Coming Soon and can’t be configured yet.

Tips & best practices

  • Keep the weekly limit low (2–3 is typical). A trickle of well-timed messages outperforms a flood.
  • Prioritize the Review Request above reminders so the first ask always goes out promptly.
  • Set your logo and company name first so every Spark looks on-brand.

FAQ

When is a Review Request sent? When a customer has recently received their order and is most likely to share feedback. Reorbit handles the timing.

What happens if a customer qualifies for two Sparks at once? They receive them in your configured priority order, and never more than your Max touchpoints per week limit allows.

Can I use the Loyalty Sparks yet? Not yet — Loyalty Welcome, Points Reminder, and Points Expiry are marked Coming Soon.
